Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Rocks the Hard Rock competition got plastic-guitar aficionados nationwide off the couch and into the spotlight, hitting 15 cities around the country and getting everyone back in the Aerosmith saddle again. The contest is over now, and the top four rockers from across the stops were flown to Boston for a VIP-studded affair at the
Hard Rock Cafe Boston that saw one of them walk, er, make that ride away with a custom Guitar Hero: Aerosmith/Hard Rock Cafe/Red Wing Motorcycle. Winner took all in Boston, as Steven Tyler held court and crowned the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Rocks the Hard Rock top rocker. Eric Miller beat the other guys into submission on his way to sharing the stage with Steven Tyler and riding off on Steven's beautiful custom bike.
The final competition was also part of a greater cause,
Boston for Africa. This two-day event culminated in the gala that also featured the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Rocks the Hard Rock finale. Overall, more than $100K was raised to benefit three different and equally important
charities that help African communities help themselves through education, training, and micro-loans. Hard Rock is proud to have been able to not only host this great charity event, but to host all the competitions, in so many great cities, leading up to the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Rocks the Hard Rock finale.
